Join Us at the Inaugural March

Please consider joining other residents and visitors to SWFL at the inaugural Ft. Myers Women’s March. This March is being held in conjunction with hundreds of Women’s Marches in cities and communities around the country.

The Women’s March is a women-led movement bringing together people of all genders, ages, races, cultures, political affiliations, disabilities and backgrounds to affirm our shared humanity and pronounce our bold message of advocacy and self-determination.

The Women’s March Ft. Myers, will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 11:00 at Centennial Park in Ft. Myers.  The March begins and ends at Centennial Park, 2000 West First St., and space for non-marchers is available. There will be speakers, music, tables with promotional materials from related organizations, and T-shirts for sale.  You can use this t-shirt order form to order a T-shirt in advance and pick it up at the March, or call us to arrange pick-up prior to the March.  Bring your own folding chair if you feel you will need one, and bring signs!

The Women’s March Ft Myers believes in diversity and inclusivity.  We strongly disagree with the actions of the leaders of the National Women’s March who have refused to distance themselves from those who are anti-Semitic and homophobic.  We disavow our connection with the National Women’s March and we will continue to stand up and speak out to ensure equality for all.
